“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” -Barack Obama
Now I could totally be hearing him wrong, and maybe he didn’t mean it the same way Hitler did when he built up his own “civil” security force to roam the streets of Germany looking for trouble.
Fascists are always eager to have an alternative to a dedicated military, one which can be used on the streets to silence opposition and keep the folks thinking correctly. Now don’t get hasty, I am not saying that Obama is a facist, but maybe he is saying that?
It is like they always say about history…it repeats itself.

Just a few things I have been noticing about others and myself lately…
As much as I don’t want to admit it I am so lazy. Yes! I said it! I am SO lazy. What the heck is up with that?!
Okay let me explain. I am only lazy when it comes to certain things…myself (personal issues) school, and redoing my room. Okay I know that last one isn’t that huge or anything but it is really important to me and I don’t see it being done till Christmas break. And that is just a bummer.
School. I always wait until the last minute. If a test or quiz is due at 11PM you can bet I am still hanging out with people till 9. You know what? That is NOT okay.
So I am just going to have to change that.
O and math is just about the worst thing in the world. I just don’t think that there is something I dislike more than math. ANY KIND! NO math is good to me. The simple kind is okay, but I still avoid it at all cost.
I met with my crazy English teacher. She tried to explain to me why I was getting bad grade and I still think that she is just a bitter Yankee with dry mouth syndrome. But it is all whatever, because I made her laugh a lot in our meeting and she is giving me a rewrite. O and I didn’t realize that my discussion assignments for communications were due every Sunday night, so I missed like 5.
Woops.
I really thought that college was going to be a piece of cake. And I think it would be if I were JUST going to college. But I am not JUST going to college, and I accept that. I have to save up for Kenya and that is more important to me than anything, even if it does mean sacrificing a social life. Haha. I make it sound so horrible. It really isn’t all that bad. Just time consuming. That’s all.
My Dad told me that I didn’t have to go to college today. That was weird.
Calm down. I am not going to quit just yet.
I miss Christin. Just so much.
That is basically everything…
So more important things- I really don’t like Obama’s views-
At first I was kind of leaning both ways a little bit, but now, I just think the man must be crazy. I don’t have a bunch of facts to back up why just one thought…
We aren’t equal. Period. Don’t get me wrong, I am not racist, I don’t hate the gays, blacks, jews, or women (well I kind of don’t like feminists) but lets just get something straight; If I as a lower middle class citizen work my but off to go to school, keep a full time job, and be active in community is equal to Joe schmo who works a part time job, has an apartment, a dog named Rufus, five kids, and lazy wife. Then this isn’t America anymore.
The whole point of this country is to go somewhere to get freedom. Freedom. What is that anymore? It seems to me that freedom is just what people use as a way to get what they want. Americans have been given the freedom to become lazy losers that don’t have to work because the government will take care of them. That is not America.
We aren’t going to fix anything by putting the government in charge. And that applies to whoever is elected.
It wasn’t the government who helped the most after the hurricanes, tornadoes, and other disasters. It was habitat for humanity, churches, and individual volunteer groups. And that is how it should be! Americans need to rely on each other to make a difference! Not some yuppies sitting in and office and waiting for forms to get signed before work can start!
WE ARE THE CHANGE!
We are the ones who will make a change happen. Not Obama. Not McCain. Not any one person!
Jesus didn’t do it alone. He had twelve friends, then they had twelve, then those twelve had twelve and so on.
So it isn’t going to be one person who will fix things.
But it does have to start somewhere…
With YOU.
